Educational Visits
School visits are a very important part of what we do in both education and the conservation of birds. Many children have never seen an Owl or Bird of Prey and they are fascinated by them.
Our visits are tailored around the school’s requirement's.
Suitable for all ages and abilities.
We can provide an educational pack to be used in conjunction with our visit.
We have full public liability insurance and have been CRB checked.
And we come to you…..
We also organise days for schools at cuerden valley park, where the children will be around the birds in their natural habitat and have more involvement whilst flying them. The package at Cuerden is designed to meet the schools requirements.
We are also available for
both static and flying
displays which go down a treat at school fair's.
British Isles Bird of Prey Visit
This programme is totally committed to our native species. We will bring a selection of between 6 & 8 of our birds which include Barn Owls, Tawny Owls, Little Owls, Long-Eared Owls, Kestrels and the Peregrine Falcon. What we will do is have the birds on their perches to be seen, where the children will learn about various aspects of them and how we look after them and ask any questions. With the possibility of being able to handle and then see the birds fly.
Birds of Prey of the World Visit
This is a similar programme to the above which includes a variety of British birds along with other birds from around the world including The Harris Hawk, American Black Vulture, Lanner Falcon, Snowy Owl & the Southern White-faced Owl from South Africa.
World of Owls Visit
By Demand of many primary school teachers. This programme is totally committed to Owls; we will bring and learn everything there is to know about these silent and captivating hunters.
Bird of Prey Arts & Photography visit
Giving you the chance to capture a variety of images of our birds, in static, natural and in flight shots. We help the children to capture some great images and try to make them as natural as possible. Which can hopefully be entered into any photo competition?
We can also arrange to bring in pellets, moulted feathers and eggs to acompany our visit.
Excellent and fun days for all participants.
Our visits are designed
around you and the children
love them....
We also specialise in visiting High Schools, College's and Universities delivering lectures delving into more detail about raptor biology, ecology and conservation.
