Cuerden Birds Of Prey

Cuerden birds of prey was established in the winter of 2009 and is run by Richard and his wife Carley together they have a spectacular collection of Owls, Hawks, Falcons and an Eagle.

They are based on the outskirts of Preston near the Cuerden Valley Park which is ideal as they do not operate as an open centre. Together they give People of all ages and backgrounds the chance to come to the valley and meet some of the world’s most amazing creatures and to have firsthand experience of handling and flying them on bookable experience days. Along with this they can attend events, clubs & groups, care homes or schools doing talks and demonstrations.

All of the birds used are captive bred, and are handled from a young age so are used to human contact.

"We are committed to educating people of all ages by creating awareness of the world around them and promoting the importance of conservation to sustain local and global wildlife and their habitats for future generations of all species" Not only this we are involved in various conservation projects throughout the north west.

We also support the rehabilitation and rescue of birds of prey and support this where we can.
